  • This is a compilation of my readings through latest papers published over last 6 months.

*COVID symptoms*

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. 

Symptoms may appear *2-14 days after exposure to the virus*. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

*SOME DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS*
  1. Diarrhea 
  2. Nausea or vomiting  
*SOME RESPIRATORY / BREATHING PROBLEMS*
  1. Cough
  2. Congestion or runny nose
  3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  4. Sore throat
*SOME OF OTHER PROBLEMS*
  1. Fatigue / Tiredness
  2. Muscle or body aches
  3. Headache
  4. Fever
  5. Chills (feeling cold)
  6. New loss of taste or smell (usually for asymptomatic patients ; further studies needed. )
*Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19*

If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately

  1. Trouble breathing
  2. Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  3. New confusion
  4. Inability to wake or stay awake
  5. Bluish lips or face

Cautiously use Metformin with HCQ or CQ


*Abstract*

The new study was published online on scientific pre-print server BioRxiv and shows that 30-40% of mice treated with a combination of HCQ or CQ and diabetes drug metformin, died. Treatment with the same dose of either drug alone had no effect on the survival of the mice.
